The Vision

Growing in the Spirit to Bear abundant Fruit...

The Vision of Christ Community Church

Background Vision

Like a deeply rooted tree, Christ Community Church will grow in Christ Jesus through purposeful spiritual formation, drawing people to maturity in the knowledge of God. In response to God's call, we are devoted to bearing abundant fruit that nurtures and sustains the people in our community.
Corrupted by sin and death, we struggle to put God first and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We regularly fail to live the vibrant life that God has created for us to enjoy. Without purpose or direction, we are left feeling defeated, aimless and alone. This leaves the community without a witness, struggling to flourish. Jesus says to his disciples, "In this world you will have troubles, but take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
By 2039, our 150th anniversary, Christ Community Church commits to being a visible representation of invisible grace in our community. We will be transformed by God's Word and Spirit to be a people filled with purpose and direction, overflowing with joy and ready to be the witness our community needs. We strive to be a vibrant and unified family, cultivating a sense of belonging.
We commit time to being in the Word and prayer daily, and to regular worship attendance and small group involvement. We commit to faithful stewardship of our time, treasure, and talents, which will be evident through active participation first in the life of the church and second through growing support of our ministry partners: Sheboygan Christian School, Pine Haven Christian Homes, the First Hope Meal Ministry, Love INC., and current missionaries.

How we are going to achieve this?

In three years (June of 2029), Christ Community church will accomplish these four pillars:

Vision & Leadership

In the next three years, foster a visionary leadership culture where the Church Council and Vision Team demonstrate unified commitment to our strategic calling evidenced by a measurable year over year increase in 'Vision Alignment' scores on leadership surveys, and agenda items in monthly council/executive meetings consistently dedicated to long-term spiritual growth and community impact rather than administrative tasks.
Organizational Structure & Accountability
In the next three years, align every ministry area with our core Mission Pillars ensuring all ministry activities directly support the church’s vision. Demonstrate measurable improvement in communication effectiveness through an annual survey of staff and volunteers.
Community Engagement & Ministry Partnerships
In the next three years, our Small Groups have formally adopted and actively support at least
one of our current ministry partners demonstrated by regular communication and a minimum of one project with tangible presence per quarter (e.g., onsite volunteering or collaborative events) to deepen our impact beyond the church walls.
Spiritual Formation & Intentional Practices
In the next three years, implement a unified discipleship pathway aligned with our vision, integrating all teaching series across every age and small group, evidenced by consistent growth in: personal intimacy with God, generosity and trust in God, meaningful relationships rooted in Christ, and living out our faith.

Midground Vision (1 Year)

In one year, monthly council/executive meetings are consistently dedicated to long-term spiritual growth and community impact, and an annual survey of staff and volunteers shows measurable improvement in effective communication. Additionally, small groups will be established where every member of the congregation is assigned to a group with 50% participation, and all groups are actively growing relationships with one or more of the ministry partnerships.
